She meowed a lot to be let out, then ran across the grass to the wall of the garage, turned her back to the wall, shook her tail and shot pee at the wall. Lots of it!

I thought only male cats did this?

Is she spayed? If not shes in heat and trying to attract a male.

Yes, she was spayed at about 12 weeks ish. She's 6 years old now.

Ours does that as well - age 13, neutered, former farm cat, lives in the country and hunts a lot (or did when she was younger). We've had previous female cats with similar lifestyles who did the same.

I don't think it'd unheard of for female cats to spray like that, just unusual. Are there any strange cats hanging around lately that might be freaking her out?

When m y speyed female was alive she used to do this but up car tyres she would sprint if she saw a van parked in the street loved van tyres i think she was just marking it as her so no other cats could get the tyre first Grin has a new cat moved in near by ?

I don't know of any new cats around.

We did see a fox in the garden a few weeks ago which seemed to make her want to stay indoors.

It was raining, so maybe she didn't want to get her paws muddy digging in my flower bed. I did tell her she'd have to wipe her feet when she came back in! Grin

The quivering tail thing when she sees you is actually a greeting/sign of love.

Without an accompanying jet of piss obviously. Grin

My dog, on occasion when cocking his leg for a wee, let's a poo slop out whilst his leg is in the air. It is both embarrassing and graphic and sometimes involves me having to scrape wet shit off lampposts etc. He only does it when there are witnesses. Hmm
