The litter tray

Bit of a stupid question

As I've posted before Tootsie is a very high spirited cat. She can't go 5 mins without attacking someone. Unless she's asleep upstairs of course. She will even charge across the room to take a swipe at 15 month old ds just because she can.

At the moment I am putting it down to her age (14 weeks).

I am also shutting her out the room we are in if she starts to get too much hoping it create a nasty=exclusion response

Any ways starting to think about spaying her which the vet has said she will be ready for in about 6-8 weeks. Then I remembered someone had said to me before that having a litter of kittens can calm a cat down.

Can it? Or would spaying calm her down? Or is simply something she needs to grow out of?

No it doesn't, it's a myth but it will bring unwanted kittens into the world. Not only would you have a kitten having kittens but a kindle of mad, hard work, expenive, teeny tiny kittens to contend with too.

No it won't calm her down. It will just being in an unwanted litter, each of which could live for 20 years. Don't do it.
She's "playing". Get toys and a scratching post or tower. I found a laser pointer invaluable with ours. I used to sit up until midnight trying to fire the little buggers out!

its just normal play behaviour. She needs more play with you.

Thought so

Thanks for clarifying. Will be proceeding with the spaying as planned
