The litter tray

I think we may be seeing our future ruler tomorrow.

We've been talking about getting a cat for a while now. We started wanting a ragdoll, moved onto the idea of a rescue, moved onto to the idea of buying a kitten etc etc.
probably the same sort of conversations everyone has when they're deciding on a cat i guess.

Well... i rang a local rescue i found on CatChat about a 1 year old black and white female, unfortunately she'd been reserved but the nice lady did say she has a male tabby kitten. We're now going to see him tomorrow.

So.... any suggestions on what to ask? Its a rescue so i don't know if they have the mum to see? it's at a ladies house too so not like a centre type place. I'm a little excited. Grin

Depends how old the kitten is I suppose. Mums usually with kittens.

Thinking about it she said he'll be ready in a fortnight, so i guess mum is there? he's six weeks, he's from the Cats Protection league but she is a fosterer for them and not in like a big cattery building.

Mum should be there then. You must get a photo of him for us.

Have a look at what sort of litter she uses. They can be very fussy and if he's started using one sort you'd be best to carry on with that. I'm not very up on kitten rearing but when we got our cat from cats protection (she was about 9 months) we took note of what they had been feeding her and carried on exactly. They did wet food in the morning and dry at night so we do too. Had to carry on with Hills for the dry food as madam won't eat anything else AND she got bored with Whiskas and now has Sheba in the mornings. She gets very narked if wet food runs out and she's given biscuits for breakfast.

You dare to run out of wet food? Grin More than my life would be worth to do that.

I'll definitely get pictures :)

I think i have found him on their page, i know it's mental to agree to go and see a cat without even a picture but i couldnt say no really.

He's a gorgeous tabby, with a little white bib. I'm not putting the pic here though in case one of you try to reverse search it and nip in and take him yourselves..... Grin

I hope he likes us TBH. I've had cats before, but my GF never has.
