Crazy weird cat toys

So I was having a quick browse on Amazon for some cat toys to buy for our new boy cat and came across this....

What on earth was going through the designers mind when they chose to make this toy? Would your cats like it? I suspect our little girl and boy would hide under the bed in fear. I feel it is slightly reminiscent of a clown/child catcher.

Hmm maybe there is an appeal, it just slightly freaks me out though! I'm getting a slight Nightmare on Elm Street vibe from it, but pom poms rather than knives!

You could buy a pair and wear them nonchalantly out and about, see how many funny looks you get. Mind you, scrabbling about in your purse, or using your mobile wouldn't be easy, with long, pom-pom fingers.
