The litter tray

Do you cats stress you out?

I do love them, but the mewing and the waiting until I am stark naked coming out of the shower then crying pitifully to go outside (I live in a flat!) and then charging up to me miaowing to be let back in after I've just let them out - aargh!

Does anyone else feel like saying 'leave me alooooone!' to their cat for a bit?!

All. The. Times!

We only have the cat since MIL moved into sheltered accommodation where moggies aren't allowed and DH who is a manchild couldn't bear to rehome. Said DH now whines just as inncessantly as moggy miaows for no reason whatsoever and I'm left to put up with the noise of the two of them as well as the flies around the open food bowl / litter tray, cat puke / hairballs on the carpet, dead mice / bird "gifts" dropped on the stairs and CONSTANT BLOODY MEWING to go out, come in, look at me, don't look at me blah blah. All in a one bedroom, three room house that doesn't allow pets in the rental agreement.

Sorry, this really hit a nerve!

When elderly cats were ill. Very stressed.
When naughty torties were zooming round the house and attacking the kids as kittens. A bit.
You need a cat cuddle. Will relax you in seconds!Grin

Yep, I've never been a fan of cats. I've mellowed a bit but she's still a royal pain in the arse. The husband would like to add a baby cat... I get the fucking horrors.

I know one is going to turn up and I'll be lumbered though because I'm a soft shite.

Never! I love it when he follows me around and wants attention. Although he's got a cat flap (which he uses when it suits him) I'm always happy to let him in and out of the patio doors. He follows me to the toilet and sits with me while I'm in there - I have no privacy these days!

I love them dearly, but I've had a bit of a shit year, and not sleeping well. So when they decide to walk along the length of my body in the middle of the night, I don't really appreciate it. Or when I've woken up at 5am, and MCat climbs on my lap to suck his tail, which involves him digging his claws into my bare legs.

However, I doubt I'd have got through the year without them.

I love my girl but she's a royal pain in th backside. I don't remember the last time i was allowed to pee on my own! I also get frustrated with her butt always being in my face and her tail under my nose tickling me but i wouldn't want to be without her. Luckily she doesn't hassle much for food but will bug you if you go near the drawer the dreamies are kept in. I do wish she would stop scabbing at my leftovers though, i'm sure she thinks she's human and should have the same food as I get!

I woke up in the middle of the night to find an upended pot noodle (shameful secret Blush) dribbling it's miserable sauce on my very pale grey bedroom carpet. Sad

Cheers MCat.

Oh, and Little Monsieur doesn't escape disgrace either - recently he's taken to dragging his shag-bag onto my bed and waking me up with his randy shenanigans.
