She caught a mouse last night & bought it in and put it in her food bowl to eat later.
Is there a gifted & talented register or perhaps a Mensa group she could join?

Typical bloody pushy cat owner. I bet you sit her in front of flash cards in the morning before she is allowed her (line-caught) Tuna steaks GrinWink

Sorry to say the cat I had as a teenager did exactly the same thing and was otherwise a big daft lump who couldn't find his arse with an atlas.

I wouldn't fill in the Oxbridge application form just yet Smile

My cat used to retrieve.

My cat pisses in the dog bed. She is the opposite of gifted and talented :(

Sorry, you're all jealous.
At owners evening the cattery owner said she was the most intelligent cat she'd ever cared for her and her report was so outstanding I had to share it on FB.

Brilliant!

My cat takes her victims into the bath. Makes it very easy to clean up. I tend to think of it as her Dexter style kill room.

It is very handy. Especially if feathers are involved.

... couldn't find his arse with an atlas.

Shock

I am so keeping that one for a later date - it's perfect!

I would say that pissing in the dog's bed is ........not untalented if she dislikes it intensely. It rather suggests artistic leanings to me. Grin

Youre welcome Milk. Thought it was a fairly common one but I think DH and I may have developed it over the years from the saying about not being able to find same with both hands.

Said cat had the most enormous arse you have ever seen - looked as if there was a giant rabbit in his ancestry - so it really was a comment on his limited intellectual capabilities.

Bogbastardkitten spent the other night attacking his tail furiously in the belief it was a snake. I obviously don't give my cats the right stimulation in the early years.

pah to gifted and talented for doing a proper cat thing like catching its own dinner

G&T for cats involves things like Recall, and Sitting to command .....Reuben has better recall than most dogs I know and understands SIT!

There was a newspaper article yesterday about a cat in NZ that collected men's underwear and socks - the picture was of one very proud kitty (Brigit I think her name was!) sitting with her loot. No mention of whether the underwear was clean though!

Tondelaya my cats both understand GETOFFYOUBUGGER and STOP FIGHTING NOW but at least one of them still doesn't really understand how the catflap works. He's almost 14 Hmm

I shudder to think what that poor cat's nickname might be. Grin

Brigit should have been called Slinky Malinky.

Sorry - that should have referred to the poor demented creature that collects men's underwear. Grin

And I read this title as in I Think My Cat Is (A) Gin And Tonic! Clearly I am less intelligent than the cats...

My cat is the stupidest creature ever. He sits on the kitchen table looking mournfully at his bowls full of food, until I lift him down and show him his dinner. Then he eats it Hmm
He is though the most beautiful child friendly stupid cat

He's managed to train you without you hardly noticing the fact though, Susie. Doesn't sound that daft to me. Grin

I think my cat is G&T too. She is only 6 months old, and caught her first fly yesterday. She stalked around the house looking so proud of herself with said fly in her mouth. It did ruin it a bit when she dropped it on the carpet, and it flew off, totally unharmed though. Grin
