My poor boy was run over tonight , clipped by a car . Some lovely people picked him up and cared for him and I took him to the emergency vet . He's got a fractured shoulder and he's having a scan for internal bleeding . Please think of him , I don't know what DD will do without it.

Thanks everyone - I only posted about him in the black cat thread a few days ago. He's a proper roamer so he has a led collar , the works. Poor soul.

Just spoke to the vet . He has a fractured shoulder but no internal bleeding . He will need an operation but considering what I like have been then there is still hope for him.

Big Dave can do it. He'll wear the cone of shame and get you to hand feed him pilchards but he WILL get through this. My beautiful but over bred Thai Blue Point had a ridiculous attachment to cars and would climb in any visitors car, sleep under them, run out in front of them (hoping to get in, the fool) and had a plate in his leg to show for it, but he got through it. So will Big Dave. Come on Big Dave!

Just some words of encouragement for you Ken. Our cat was run over just over a year ago and apparently the wheel went over him according to a witness. He had a quite a stay with the vets as he had bad internal bleeding and an operation.

And now? Well I have spent all evening stopping him rough play fighting with the other cats in the house and fetching him his never ending demands of food, toys and games. He recovered wonderfully and is a lovely healthy, happy cat. He sends his get well soon wishes to Big Dave!

Thank you for the kind positive stories , I'm taking DD out today so DH will sort the vet stuff. I think he will love being hand fed Grin
The lovely people who picked him up and looked after him until I got there gave him the best chance.
exit I have been about but don't think I'm posting nearly as much . Good to see you !
