He was 17. Had him from kittenhood. Been my constant companion, been with me longer than DP and DS put together. My beautiful, beautiful boy. No more fluffy head butts.

He sounds lovely and what a great age. You must have looked after him v well. Perhaps when the time is right, you might be ready to give such a loving home to another furbaby, xx.

I don't think I could be with without a fluffy companion for too long, and I'm hoping my boy will send one to me when the time is right.

I'm sure he will and that very soon. He'll know what a huge cat-shaped hole there is in your life right now.

How amazing he must have felt to have been loved so much for 17 years.
And how special he must have been for you to have loved him for 17 years.

I'm sorry Flowers

I'm so sorry Yes. I lost my old boy last week, and he was mine since a kitten just like your beautiful boy, so I know exactly how you feel. It really hurts even though you know they had a happy long life and couldn't have been more loved. I'm already thinking of going to the cat rescue place though as the house feels all wrong without a cat in it. I know I can never replace him, but hopefully we can give a loving home to another moggie, and I hope you will too, when you're ready.

I lost my furbaby at the end of November last year. He was 16. I love him so very much. I could not be without a cat so rescued a kitten from a local shelter. She is in no way a replacement, but having her here has helped.

What a gorgeous boy, so sorry Flowers. I too had elderly cats who had been with me since kittenhood for many years, long before I met DH and had the DCs. They both died aged 18 and had shared so much of my adult life with me, it was a sad time. We do now have a young cat who is my special pal, he doesn't replace the oldies but it is great to still have a cat around the house.
