What am I forgetting?!

On Friday I will be bringing home 2 beautiful kittens and I have spent the past few weeks kitten proofing and stocking up on supplies but I have a nagging feeling that I am forgetting something vital!!

Please can you tell me what you consider the essentials to either reassure or remind me what I am missing!!

Thank you!

Litter tray, flea stuff for when they are bigger, boxes, lots of boxes, somewhere to scratch?

Check, check, check, check so far so good! We have set up a nice quiet space for them so they can settle in without us disturbing them, and we have arranged to bring the blanket that they've been sleeping on with them as a comforter.

My list would be:

  • Food bowls for each
  • Water bowl
  • Mat for food bowls
  • Litter tray and scoop
  • Litter tray liners and litter
  • Nappy sacks for scooped out poo
  • Mat for litter tray (optional)
  • Cat bed (optional)
  • Toys
  • Scratching post
  • Appointment at the vets to register them and get them checked over
  • Food (wet/dry/both)
  • Comb for fur if long haired
  • Collars (optional if not going out)
  • Cat carrier (a large one should fit both when they're older)

Depending on age and whether they will be going out:

  • Flea treatment (though Advocate is the best and needs to be bought at vets)
  • Cat flap (optional)

In your kitchen, has every possible gap been plugged? By which I mean there is no way for a kitten to wriggle through to underneath the units.

We have one small gap that needs fixing but they won't be in there initially so we should be ok! So excited to bring them home! Just hope they settle well Smile

Thank you for all your help!
