Cat Flap Fitted Through a UPVC Door - Cost?

I have been told we will need a new panel, as the door has mouldings on it, and have been quoted around £140. Does this sound reasonable?

Does that include the catflap and new panel? If so, that's about what we paid.

We paid 30 for a plain plastic panel and 25 for the flap.

Door panels are disconcertingly easy to pop out.

That makes our £180 quote for a flap in a glass panel look much more reasonable, thanks!

Actually, we had the catflap fitted in a glass panel, so that may have made it more expensive than a upvc would be.

My Dad and my brother fitted mine, so it only cost me the price of the cat flap. It was a couple of years ago now and I remember it being a very noisy job, but if you know someone who's strong and accurate with a hack saw, you can fit it in the same way you would in a wooden door.

Thanks all, yes it does include all the parts.

If this includes cat flap, new panel, and fitting then yes that is a good price

Dp fitted ours on our moulded upvc door, he used a jig-saw to cut the hole then sealant around the edges to make it water tight.

When I had mine put in the chap just drilled a square out of the uPVC panel and put the catflap in - cost about £30 and a fiver for the flap. I had the catflap replace a couple of years ago with a microchip operated one, which was another £70.
