Do you remember William the rescue cat?

Well, he's doing really well Grin

He moved himself down to the lounge a few weeks ago after spending most of his time underneath the cabinet in the bedroom.

He now has a nice fire to sit near and lots of stuff to see. He's getting on well with the others and has a lot more confidence now. He even ventured out into the garden last week.

He must have been fed on junk food at his other house because he goes crazy if we have any chips or curry Confused he's not allowed any though.

He is a Happy Kitty Smile

As that is lovely! How did he hide before venturing out? Mine is hiding behind the curtain as of 10 days...

Who is his favorite person? he looks a very refined cat, despite the love of curry.

Does he get on well with oldcat?

We just built him a base. His safe area was underneath the cabinet, then we had his litter tray and food/water near as well. He would venture out and investigate things, but always had his safe area to retreat back to. He was up there for a few weeks, but is happier downstairs.

You just have to let them do things in their own time. They come out when they feel safe, but always need the option of retreating if they need to.

Here's a pic of his 'base'.

Is your kitty a rescue as well? Boy or girl?

Oh, it's funny Fluffy he goes into Old Cat's bed in front of the stove. She looks at him Angry and hisses at him until he gets up and leaves Grin

He's pretty laid back and just takes the others as they come really. Pearl is the only one who chases him a bit.

It is a boy cat from CP league - subject of thread 'missing cat returned - very stressed'!. He has a base in the living room, not let us near him so far but has ventured out when we aren't there! Your story gives me hope that I will one day see him Smile

He'll be fine Sleep cats are so curious that they can't resist coming out to explore eventually. I never though William would go downstairs. I had to carry him at first. He was scared and struggled, but he got used to it and then started to enjoy it. He hid away all the time at the rescue shelter. I hardly managed to see him properly Grin

Have you tried bribery with Dreamies?
