separation anxiety vomiting

We've been away overnight for an important family gathering this weekend that we couldn't miss and left Suscat alone for 26 hours. Am worried she has been anxious now though whilst we were away.

When we got home she did her usual greeting on the stairs although was mewing more high pitched and insistently than normal when we walked in (she's quite shouty anyway though!). She seemed a bit relieved to see us. Thought all was ok, except she had been sick three times. TMI but it was in that weird kind of way where they wolf down their biscuits and then bring it back without digesting. Doesn't seem to be showing any signs of illness though, and is very content lying on husband's knee now.

We left at 10.30am yesterday and got home at 1pm this afternoon. We thought leaving her at home with plenty of food, water, toys and access to the garden during the day for the 26 hours would be less stressful than taking her to the cattery. Now I feel terrible about it. In fact I felt terrible about it all day anyway when we were away (I briefly considered buying those webcams you can log into on your phone to check she was ok)

Has anyone else's pusscat been like this when left alone? Was it separation anxiety or is she sick?

Not sick like that - I just get it in the neck for bad behaviour. Sounds as if she's eaten too quickly and overloaded her stomach - so upchucked. But she's OK now you think?

Yeh I think so. It's unusual for her to be sick like that three times in a day. She is sick every now and then but not normally like that. She has been ok though today so am assuming it was just because she didn't want to be home alone.

Yes, mine always used to be sick when we went away overnight and always in the same place, at the bottom of the stairs.

I bought a Feliway plugin to use whilst we were away and it seems to have worked, he hasn't been sick since!
