Cat has moved out

Hi I posted a while back about my tom cat acting strangely. He has decided to move in with Irene who lives 2 streets away. Retired, no kids and no other cats. I am very hurt but have to accept his decision! He comes back once every 3 or 4 days to eat although he is looking well fed and healthy.
My girl cat misses him dreadfully, let alone my 3 DCs. At a recent party with the neighbours it seems at least 4 other families feed 'jasper' or 'blackie'. His name is scrappy doo!! Seems like he acts like a stray wondering from home to home.
Anyone else had a cat move out on them. I will help out with vet bills if needed as I feel I owe him my loyalty.
Also should I get another cat to keep female company. He moved out start of September!
Thanks for reading!

One of mine has more or less moved out too but I don't know where she goes, & she still comes back every afternoon to eat a day's worth of food all at once, so it seems she hasn't got an alternative home, she just hates the other cats (she hisses & grumbles the whole time shes here. One of them is her sister Sad)

I got her a collar & tag hoping that if she is going to another house someone would ring but nobody has.

Not much help to you but at least you know you're not the only one!
