The litter tray

AIBU to think that the rules go in her favour?

I'm sat on the sofa in need of a wee, but can I get up? No, I'm trapped under a cat and as we know you cannot get up if there is a cat on you, or move one so you can sit down, thems the rules.

However at 6 tomorrow morning she is going to come and jump on my head and shout in my ear until I get up to give her breakfast. So how is that fair?

AIBU to think that the rules go in her favour?

I'm SO looking forward to clocks going back tonight and being woken at 5 instead of 6.

If BertCat is properly asleep I can sometimes get away with lifting her off me, using my arms in the fashion of a spatula. But if it doesn't work I get a major case of baleful face.

If that's a blanket OP, can't you just slide her off and rush off to the loo before she realises?

If it's not it a blanket, that's a lovely skirt Blush

It may not be fair, Pipbin - but as you said 'Them's the rules'. Grin

It is a blanket. She requests the blanket on my legs!
I'm not so busting for a wee that I would move her. I grew up in a crazy cat lady house. The rules of cat coexistence were laid down alongside manners. I could no more move a cat than I could swear in front of my maiden aunt.

I must be a bad cat person then, mine just get shoved off when it suits me.

That is a crime, fact. The cat police will be round soon to give you a ticking off.

I feel mean shoving, as I imagine how I'd feel if I was dozing in bed and someone pushed me out. But if you need to wee, you need to wee.

My house my rules

That's where you are wrong. It's the cats house and you are merely staff.

I'm sorry Whoknows but your cat/s is/are plotting against you.

You may think "your house your rules" but no feline plays by any rule except their own unless they have an ulterior motive.

I don't have a problem moving mine although she's not a lap cat.

However since I have the only single bed in the house she will go to bed with me and stretch out right in the middle, then give me this 'look' to say you dare

Then wake me up at the crack of twat and run out of the room when I leap out of bed to shut her out. T

They're little sods!

My cat refuses to sit on my lap. He tends to just sit next to me and on (frequent) occasion slap me with his right paw. However the advantage of having a unaffectionate mildly adusive cat is being able to go for a wee at my discretion

yabvvvu to even question the fairness of the rules. Toilet breaks are at your employers discretion Grin

Well so far so good, they don't wake us early, don't bring in anything worse than the occasional earthworm, use their trays and move up obligingly on request. Cats - know your place!

It is outrageous - I am an insomniac and I got some sleep until cat decided that this was outrageous.

Cat's outrage outdoes human outrage.

Every.single.time.

I am awake and cat has been fed. He remains outraged.

I am dog-tired. Which I think might explain the problem..

MCat stares. Then stares a bit more. Until his eyes bore into your very soul. He can make humans wake by sheer force of will.

Little Monsieur stamps gaily up and down upon my person. The 4 footed riverdance on my chest particularly panic attack inducing amusing.

Then they both just snuggle down in the nice warm bit I've just vacated.

Twat- Cats.

We actual got a kingsized bed so there would be enough room for all of us.
She sleeps between my legs making it a royal pain in the arse to turn over.

Breakfast was demanded this morning by jumping in my boobs and bladder.
