Cats who are born with you

We have a boy cat, who is 3yo and was born with us. His DMcat was adopted and we were told that she was spayed. She wasn't.

She had a kidney problem and died about 6m after she had her litter, 2 we found homes for and we kept the last one.

He is Sooo needy and hates anyone else. Cries to go out, then instantly cries to come in. Repeat. He wont eat unless DH tells him too, is "DCat, eat your dinner now"

I have had cats since I was a child, but never one as needy. Is it because he was born here, or do we pander to him?

I had a ginger tom who was like this, he was our other cats kitten born when I was 7 and died 3 years ago age 20 curled up in his basket. He would sleep in the bed with his head on the pillow and want a constant fuss. I've just adopted a year old ginger tom who the owner 'didn't like' so she just left him starving on the street. He has now been neutered and all day he follows me around crying non stop. I love him being so friendly but he does wake everyone up and he bullies the dog!

Definitely agree. My other two cats are female and they are like stuck up school mums who will want to know you if nothing better is happening Grin

That sounds just like my Siamese boys - in fact less needy than some! It's what I'm used to. Smile
