What are they eating? When we first got H we gave him Felix - never again!

What are you feeding them?

Chances are it is food related. Go for the highest protein food you can. Carbs in food aren't for cats. Their digestive systems can't really manage. Trial and error will get you there.

Yep, it's probably related to the kind of food. Get the meat content as high as possible and go 'no grain'. We had a badly farting cat with foul-smelling poos, and we've gone for a mixture of raw meat (with powder supplements), Applaws grain free, and high quality wet food (in the UK Butchers is often recommended). He now never farts and his poo is fairly neutral smelling.

I had this and the only good that helped (all the German highest ones didn't) was royal canin gastrointestinal wet. Now they have lovely firm poos with no smell.

Gah iPhone fail, German high meat ones didn't work for us but lots of people say they're great.

It's the food I agree, what are you feeding them?

When ours first came here she was fed whiskas. I put her on applaws both wet and dry and no stinks. I ran out and had to get temp stuff local which was whiskas as its all they had and her stinky farts are back.

That stuff doesn't agree I don't think.

Royal Canin gastro (from your vet) is good. Ophie had terrible loose bowels on felix/Whiskers type food..wet or dry. We switched her to the Gastro and it cleared up very quickly.

Now she has Gastro dry and some Animonda Carny (zooplus online) for wet as it has a really high meat content and no cereal fillers.... no farts or sloppy poos! She can't have anything with grains in or the runs come back.

Even Harry looked shocked after the Felix incident!

Same problem here, going to look up the recommended food! Our old cat ate iams and we didn't have any problems but it doesn't look like kittens can eat dry food?

We have similar aged kittens. Their poo when they go smells, but for a very short time (we clear the tray immediately and put into nappy sacks in the bin and bin doesn't smell) and they don't fart.

They have supermarket own brand dry food in the day and lots of water. Of an evening they share a pouch of wet food - again supermarket own brand.

They are happy and healthy and barely smell. Big thing for me as I hate the smell of animals.

You could try sprinkling Fortiflora or similar on their food, their intestinal flora may need balancing.

I have one cat that doesn't really create smells unless his diet is changed, (no dry food) and one that really pongs but has digestive problems and other issues so has to be fed what she will eat so we live with it.
