Our 2 year old girl has suddenly stopped using her litter tray and decided to go outside to perform.

Not a problem at all - but why?!!

It's summer, she likes being outside, the earth is drier and warmer - and at the end of the day, I haven't got a clue. That's what she prefers at the moment!

(I'd keep the tray, though- she may change her mind and she would possibly need it for nighttimes or wet weather anyway.)

That sounds about right! When we first got her I wanted her to go outside as I hated dealing with cat litter, but just part of my routine now!

Will keep the box as definitely don't want any accidents.

I think mine does so many boundary marking wees and poos that he is completely empty come curfew time.

That's good, umiasha - I'm rather chastened on these matters by The Lodger having decided, after bringing himself up on the streets, that he wanted to start using a litter tray rather than using outside. (Barring being caught short outside which I don't completely know about.)

I didn't mind in the least to be honest. Like you, it became part of routine - and I could avoid any confrontations with neighbours over poo in the rose beds and also keep a weather eye on his general health via the workings of his innards.

Maybe she's gained in confidence as well as she's become a little older or a mean cat or two has disappeared from the neighbourhood so that she can take her time outside - who can tell completely. Smile

It's news to me that ASBO cat actually has any boundaries! I had rather thought that Bengals would be like Siamese in that their territory was basically anywhere they could think about, let alone walk to. Grin
