Poorly chap

60 quid lighter after taking our chap to the vet today. He's had a day of vomiting and not wanting much food and started sneezing about 2pm - must have sneezed 40-50 times since. He was on kennels a week ago for a few days...

He's had an antibiotic injection and has to stay in for 48 hours so we can monitor him. He just looks so sad, poor old Magnus.

Poor Magnus.

Chain your plastic somewhere - mine runs away to hide as soon as I start dialling the vet's number. I can usually track it down by the sound of gentle sobbing but it's a hassle.

They bounce back really quickly though. Usually the next day they are massively improved.

Will you let him sleep on the bed tonight? dh goes in the spare room if asbo cat is ill and he sleeps on the bed with me.

Vets arent cheap but who'd do a degree that hard for no financial reward?. Our personal best was £91 for a septic ripped off claw injury. Not fighting every flipping day has never occurred to him.

I actually think vets are pretty darned reasonable - unless you go to one of those ones that give you free coffee and chocolates I guess.
