Boys have been going out under loose supervision for 2 weeks. They seem to do the same route- our garden and the gardens either side. One went over the back into another garden but I think it panicked him as he hadn't done it since. Is this it or will they get more and more brave? They come back when I beep their loc8tor collars which is cool and get a little treat

IME, Most neutered cats didn't ever roam more than about 300 yards from their safe home territory boundaries (usually same as your property boundaries). Kittens seem to go further than older cats and un-neutered toms will go much further, maybe miles.

That's good to hear. Gardens are 150ft long and maybe 75 wide so maybe they're happy with three of those, I hope so. I'm still sitting out with them, they're 10 months now so a lot more sensible than when they came to me.

It depends on the cat. MCat goes over the back wall, and has a wander in the other neighbours' gardens, a row of about 10.

Little Monsieur has decided not to leave the (tiny) garden, which makes me happy, because the curly fool would go off with anyone.

They learn to associate the Loca8tors with treats very fast, don't they?

They do, about 30 secs or so after beeping them they shoot out of the hedges. Pavlovs dogs.
