How muCh does your kitty eat?

my SIL was recently feeding our 1yr old cat whilst we were away and was surprised how little he eats - 2 pouches a day and half a bowl of dry food that he grazes on. He also supplements his diet with several bees/ flies a day and frequently brings a dead mouse in to play!!! He seems quite happy but isn't a massive cat - just weighs 4kg. Her cat eats way more, is only a year older but is massive. He was a rescue cat and isn't s funny breed.
Do cats keep on growing after 1yr - he still has quite a small face?

Between 1-2 pouches or tins a day. Plus a scoop of dry food.

All the wasps (sugar puffs) he can handle. As a treat.

We have 3 cats and we put down one pouch each in the morning and another pouch each in the evening and leave a bowl of biscuits out all day. I've no idea who eats what but the wet food is usually gone straight away and usually about half the biscuits get eaten too. They occasionally scoff a full bowl of biscuits in one day but not often.

My cat is about 11 months and has 2 pouches which she doesn't always finish and a handful of biscuits, a few dreamies and flies a day! She has a fat body and small head too!

Sounds like mine is similar then - I was made to think we were under feeding him!

Your amounts seem bob on to me (& to the instructions given on pouch boxes).. She clearly overfeeds!

Best to go by your cat's body condition, than feeding guidelines.

Jack is still a bit porky and he doesn't eat lots.
