About 6 weeks ago we got two rescue kittens, Alfie & Jasper. They are gorgeous and we adore them but are struggling as Jasper like peeing on soft things and doesn't always use the litter tray.
We have quite an open plan house and they are in the hall/kitchen with the litter tray in the pantry. There is a baby gate on the door of the pantry as dd is 15 months and I don't want her playing with the cat litter... They also have a bed in there & their biscuits & water.
The vet has recommended that we enclose them in a smaller space to help encourage Jasper to use the tray, but it's just not possible. There's no door between the kitchen & hall & no way of putting a barrier anywhere.
I feel terrible as I know they are desperate to get into the rest of the house but I can't let them as I'm worried Jasper will pee on the beds and the sofa.
Please can I have some advice as we have to stop this somehow!!
Thanks
