He's 19 months old, went out at midnight as usual, but hasn't come back since. He's always back between 6 and 7 am. But not today. Everyone says he'll come back in a day or two .... I don't think he will. I just want to hear his feeble meow, see his tail curl and flick as he sees us, and watch his little legs flicking forward as he trots over to us.

Sad Sad

Oh god, it's awful isn't it. Do you have a cat flap? Does he go far usually?

We leave the bathroom window open for him to come in and out of. He chose this method in his early days of going out. I've no idea how far he goes, but he's always back between 6 and 7 Sad
He's microchipped, but I'm not really sure that means much.

Oh no, so sorry. I really hope he's just gone for a long wander. Has he ever gone missing before? Mine went AWOL one night last year and it was the most awful time (fortunately he did come back but his disappearance was completely out of the blue & I was distraught for the few days he was mussing).

Have you been out with some food tonight - sometimes it's much easier to hear cat noises after dark, there is less noise elsewhere & less traffic.

Try to stay positive, it is still very early days.

Let us know how things are going.

I feel your pain. I know exactly how you feel. Go door knocking and bombard social media. Facebook 'lost cats in your area' are of great help. I hope he turns up soon.

Just seen he's microchipped, are your details up to date? Call all local vets and cat shelters.

He's back!!!! Smile Smile Smile

He came back at 11 pm last night. We think he's been locked in somewhere as he was very hungry and a bit grubby.

Thank you all so much for your kind words and thoughts!!

Thank you everyone. It's great to have him back.
I hope posters in the same position on other threads get their little darlings back soon also.
