Sticky eyes

Obie almost always has sticky black bits in the inner corner of his eyes. He is fit and well in himself, but being a ginger ninja it is very noticeable. Sometimes it is just a tiny bit that I can sneakily brush away with a swipe of my finger but often it needs a damp tissue..and he hates that!

Is there anything I can do to help? How do you best clean a reluctant cats eyemuck?!

Side note... I recently bought a (large..sigh...) bag of Purina kibble ..mine are fedboth wet and dry, and the Purina seems to have given both kittens (now 9 months) terrible runs. I have got some other stuff tonight (Vets Kitchen, which they love and seems ok) but wondered if anyone else has had dire bowels on Purina?!)

My previous cat had leaky eyes. I can't help much, we never knew the cause and it was tedious to clean on the the cat and on her favorite spots. The vet sells drops that are supposed to help cleaning her eyes, but I never found it really helpful, maybe you would have better luck.

I think it's normal, all of ours have had it. I call them eye bogies.

Haha, I call them eye bogies too!

I used a wet cotton wool pad to deal with MKittens. Now he's brushed up on his personal hygiene, so no need anymore.

Maybe it's a stage they go through, like smelly teenage boys?
