Cat sick-lovely!

Sparkling Cat has been sick twice. Once last night, and again this morning.

TMI but what she brought up was literally the food she had just eaten, it looked as it did on her plate before she ate it IYKWIM.
She is absolutely fine in all other ways and behaving completely normally, but have never known this before.

She has her boosters tomorrow. Do I mention it to the vet or will that start a whole host of investigations? Not sure what to think really.

Tell the vet if you are going. Cats are curious buggers and this one may have eaten something just before its main food. Or it is working on a hairball. Or any number of innocuous reasons for being sick. But tell the vet as you are going anyway.

Thanks sparky I will. i am not really really worried. But it's weird for her IYKWIM.

I don't think I ever go a day without having to clean up cat sick from somewhere in the house (one even vomited in my Mum's shoe when she came to stay). It just seems to be what cats do. I don't really give it a second thought.

my cat threw up on the hob. i do not recommend this.

She's been doing that ears back running from room to room like a loon all morning and then conked out on our bed.

i think maybe because she's not sick more often i was a bit alarmed. But for all I know she could be being sick outside and I wouldn't know.

They do seem to be randomly sick.

Might have eaten a bad bird. Or mouse.

Could be stress. Has a new cat moved into your street? I ask because you said about the running about with flat ears.

MCat comfort eats when stressed, then consequently chunders. Repeatedly.

She does have stress regarding the neighbourhood cats Rubbish. there's one in particular that she gets very worried about. She has had cystitis due to stress in the past.

The flat ears running round the house loon thing is just her being daft generally, but I will ask the vet tomorrow.

Might get a refill for the Feliway.

Feliway never does any harm. I like to keep one plugged in at any sign of stress.

Have you tried Zylkeine for the shot-term? Haven't tried it myself yet, but have some just in case. Pretty sure other members have had good outcomes with it.

I too have a flat-earing cat who does the sideways shimmy for no particular reason. Whilst making some very unusual noises. He's a bold little soul, not daunted by anything. Maybe he sees dead people?

SoupDoggyDog is very good at clearing up when Fat Cat has thrown up. I can send him round if you like, he's not been fed yet.

Portia , my long haired old lady pukes at least twice a week... usually hairball related (and is now on weekly cat lax to keep things from clogging up)

Morph used to do the 'bolt food ..ooops... puke' regularly... sometimes back into the bowl!!!

The best was the time Portia started to retch... I should have KNOWN not to chase her by now, but did.. so she puked a trail across the hall, coming to a halt, where she promptly puked a HUGE hairball and cat food into DH's upturned motorbike helmet!!!! I laughed. he didn't...

and Ophie likes to eat any freshly deposited vomit. Now I find THAT truely grim!

Hi all. I saw the vet. She had a thorough check and all was well. He thinks she probably bolted her food, and saw no cause for concern.

She hasn't done it since Saturday night and is now fast asleep after yowling all the way there and back and having her boosters.
