Fussy kitten!

I have an 8 month old kitten who arrived to me at 6 weeks as her previous owners lied about her age saying she was 9 weeks a quick trip to the vets gave me her real age. When I got her I asked what cat food she was having they said "cat meat" no brand, I tried a few brands and her favorite is Felix kitten food in jelly and IAMS dry. My local shop has now stopped selling all kitten food so I have been trying to get her to eat adult food.

I have tried every brand of wet food I can buy whiskas, Felix, iams, Aldi, Asda and an expensive tinned one from the pet shop! Every single pouch has went untouched! She is surviving off her iams dry but I think she misses her wet food as she keeps looking into the bowl and miaowing at me. Now I can buy Felix kitten online easily but then again I will have this problem every-time I can't get it or she runs out? Any ideas how I can get her to eat adult food without sticking her nose up at it? Yes I know its not 100% the best food but I would like her to eat some kind of wet food I can go into a shop and buy as she doesn't drink much water.

I'd pick your battles on this one, Queen - rather than force her to go cold turkey on to the adult food (and kitten food is fine up until a year old), maybe go back on to her regular kitten food (buying it online) and try for a more gradual introduction of other brands.

Have you introduced any pattern into the foods that you're giving her? (Seniorboy won't touch fish flavours, for example - and wouldn't even countenance beef flavour for a few years. (Guess which flavour is now his most favourite!))

Fussy blighters.

She has never shown any prefrence for flavours, I think I will bulk buy some of the kitten food and try slowly introducing others. Thanks for the advice.
