My cat is home after 9 days away!

My Georgous tom cat has returned! We had posters everywhere and leafleted local houses. Texted everyone I could think of in my area to look out for him. I got a call from a kind man 6 streets away to say he had a black cat crying on his window ledge. He managed to get him into his kitchen with water and bowl of purina and ran to the station to get my number to call me. I drove straight round and it was my cat! I think he wondered too far and was disorientated.
I used mumsnet to get ideas for looking. It was the posters at my local train station that worked the most. Just wanted to post to help anyone else going through this. I thought I might never see him again. So happy and relived to get him home!!

He is on a weight gain regime of tuna and Sheba sachets. He has lost so much weight and is now asleep on my sons bed.
I hope this thread can give hope for other missing cats in the future. Strangers were so kind when I was walking the streets and shouting for him!
