My cat is very attached to me. We recently moved house and he is very relaxed, exploring lots and being sociable in the lounge which is so unlike him!
But...
He just can't leave me alone. follows me everywhere, has to sleep with me but ends up climbing all over me at night. If I try and shut him out he scratches at the door non stop.
At our old house he used to spend evenings downstairs with DH whilst I slept and DH watched tv etc. This doesn't happen anymore and my nights are getting continuously interrupted.
I am also 36 weeks pregnant....so sleep is very much needed at the moment but I also appreciate that this could be impacting on cat's behaviour.
I have done lots to prepare him for the arrival of the baby. what I really want are tips on how to separate myself from him without making him more anxious. He's just come back from the cattery so is super into me today...He scratched at the door after 30 secs of me being in the bedroom and accidentally closing the door on him!
Any tips would be great
