Netting for balcony - best solution?

We have indoor cats and want to let them on our roof terrace. I know there is this netting stuff, but surely they just climb it? Do you have to put it over the top of the terrace (like a netting roof) or just create walls? Anyone particularly recommend a supplier of the netting? And does it come with struts - wondering how to attach it…. TIA!

Is there a fence around your terrace? If so you could do this www.beestonfencingcompany.co.uk/catprooffencing.htm. We've recently used this method to cat proof our whole garden because next door's aggressive cat kept climbing over the fence and attacking our elderly kitty. It prevents cats from getting out as well as in.

The brackets and meshing were not expensive (got them from Screwfix) and it was dead easy and quick to install. Works a treat and our old girl can now enjoy the garden in safety.
