So I went with my Dsis to view a kitten earlier this month & she put a deposit on one (Ragdoll cross) .

The woman we went to kept us talking for a good while .
She has 3 females all Ragdoll cross & they had all had kittens within 2 days of each other , their were 20 kittens Shock
The woman went on to tell me that they each have up to 4 litters a year & she always sells them .
They are only allowed in her conservatory which has various blankets strewn round for the cats 'beds' , litter trays & food down .
Their were ants crawling round the food Sad

This has been playing on my mind a lot & I'm so tempted to ring the RSPCA , this is wrong what she is doing to those poor cats they deserve to not be used as a money making scheme !

Am I been stupid ?
If not who do I contact & what do I say ?

This is why I've only had rehomer moggies or pure bred cats. The 'cross' breeders are unscrupulous, money grabbing, amoral and cruel.
They have no breed association regulations or shelter background checks.

Appalling. I hope your sister gets her money back, and that you contact the RSPCA.

I'm guessing that she's actually selling these on the back of their half-Ragdoll status. Might be worth as well having a quiet word with the \link{http://www.ragdoll-rescue.co.uk/\Ragdoll Rescue} just to ensure that she's on the radar there.

I hope your DSis isn't going through with the purchase?

I'd ring the RSPCA too, 3 queens and 20 kittens in a conservatory? Conservatories get roasting hot in the summer.

Apart from anything else, the potential for disease and parasites hardly bears thinking about. Sad

No my Dsis has taken in a Turkish Van cat that was going to be put down instead of the kitten Smile

I doubt she is on anyone's radar as she comes across as a little old lady iyswim , she is selling the kittens at £75 each & they have not been flead, wormed or vet checked before they go so it really is all about the money Sad

I think I'll give the RSPCA a ring in a bit when I get home as I did a quick. Search online and she has been doing this for a good few years now Sad

Nice little tax free earner for her. Angry

And stuff the kittens and mothers. Those females must be completely exhausted. (I can only hope that they're not actively ill.)
