7am Kitty Wake Up Call

Every single morning. We have a two year old and work so during the week we are up at seven, however dd will sleep in til around 8 if the house is quiet.

unfortunatley, the last couple of weeks, girlcat has taken to meowing loudly and clawing at the bedroom doors at seven am. She wants us up and wont stop til we get up.

the meowing distresses dd so she cant just ignore it. Then, of course, we get up and girlcat thinks shes done a good job

what to do?

LOL

I have a kitty alarm clock who appears on my shoulder and meows directly in to my ear.

Earplugs?

A timer feeding thingy that feeds her at 7am?

She doesnt need food, we top up the bowps before we go to bed. Wish I could stick earplugs in a two year old Grin

We live in a flat, and have tried keeping her away from the bedrooms but she just attacks the livingroom door. Tried letting her have free reign and she attacks dds door.

Cant win at the minute! She was cock a hoop this morning when we got up, rolling all iver the floor etc. Ten minutes later and shes gone out.

I have two and one sleeps in the kitchen and one on my bed. Bed Cat wanted out at 6am this morning. However I did manage to go back to bed - Kitchen Cat was still in his bed when I went back down at 8.30

Yep, me too, Eustacia. 7am?! Bloody luxury in this house. Once she's quite sure she's woken us up she'll then sleep until about 11pm. Un-bloody-believable.

7am would be marvellous in our house.....!!

We have two cats, one is a howler when she wants food/cuddles/out/her own poop scooped out the tray. This can be anywhere between 2-5am. If we don't respond, she hooks her paws under the door and rattles it in the frame until we HAVE to get up. She has been known to open the door and sneak upstairs to make sure that we hear her Grin

She's 14 now, so we just sigh and deal with it....she's in her twilight years and I guess she gets what she wants now.

My other cat (13 so hardly a spring chicken) just looks at us, sighs, and puts her tail over her ears to block out the din. Grin
