Thanks Fab. It's not showing yet but you sometimes have to give the site a short time.

I have put another one up and marked it not private and for all to see.

I have cried goodness knows how many times today. Boys doing worse than my daughter at the moment. It is a physical pain and tears come so easily.

We expect to be able to pick up her ashes today or tomorrow and DH is going to go alone. I don't think the children should go and I woudn't be able to do it without crying everywhere.

Not showing yet. Have you gone onto your profile and changed the drop down box at the bottom of the screen to say yes finished?

What will you be doing with Mushrooms ashes? Keeping them or scatter them somewhere she loved?

Report
FabCatsSlave · 17/05/2013 14:24

I have done that now, Lego, thank you.

Mushroom's ashes are coming back to us in a little wooden urn and I think she is going to be on the fire place next to a photo of her as a kitten. We are hoping to move house so don't want to have to leave her behind so won't scatter her. I think we all need to keep her with us.

Oh she is beautiful. I love how she has squeezed herself on the red cushion. Grin

Makes else about the ashes. My friend had her dogs ashes made into a diamond which she wears around her neck all the time.

I thought that too but on closer inspection it is actually DS2's school bag!!

Ooo I wanted something to wear to remember her..

DH just gone to get dc2 and 3. Just had a little cry. Would have been a big one but trying to keep myself from completely falling apart.

Shall I post more pics or is 2 enough? don't want to bore anyone

Someone made a 'fab' suggestion to me once . How about putting her ashes in a planter ? That way you can move and take her with you. I thought about this a lot and decided I would keep my cats in their box when it's their time so that if the plant died you could change it without worrying about losing her . Just an idea .. Rip fab cat .

She's gorgeous and looks like she was a really sweet cat. I'm so sorry for your loss, I know I'm going to be devastated when my girl dies so I can't even imagine what you're going through. That's just made me shed a little tear.

RIP FabCat. She looks lovely in her photos.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I've been following your thread all along and had to stop myself reading your thread at work as the tears were coming. She sounded like a real character all the way to the end.

Post as many pictures as you want. I love looking at other people's photos.

Have you anything nice planned at the weekend to take your minds of things?

Oh Fab how beautiful she was that bottom picture has so much personality, you can see the humor in those beautiful eyes. I know it hurts but one day you'll think of her and smile again. (((hug)))

I am really sorry I have made some of you cry. I never would have posted if I had known. I do take comfort that other people care though.

Just added one of the last photos we took of her. SO cheeky.

Hoping to meet up with a friend so my children can meet her puppy. I met her a few days ago and she is adorable. I said she could have brought her dogs to the house if I hadn't have had Mushroom. 9 days later we lost her.

Oh crap, crying again.

Don't worry about us crying, it brings up memories of all of our cats passing that's all.

She was a lovely looking girl.

Went in the kitchen to start the kids tea and went to feed her.

DS1 will come home in a minute and see me crying again.

She's absolutely gorgeous!

I have the ashes of four of my pets (3 rabbits, 1 cat) and want them in my coffin when I die, plus those of any others I have in the meantime. They're my family and I want them with me. Earlier pets were buried in the garden of the family home which has since been sold, and I still feel guilty for abandoning them.

Yes, I am odd.

Fab so sorry to hear about your furry. I lost my two within a year last year after 18 years in their hallowed presence. I honestly kept seeing little furry figures in the corner of my eye for months. DH was even worse than me.

Remember the good times. Miaow xx

Rabbit* if you are odd then so am I as I would love to pinch your idea and have her with me if you don't mind.

Oh T, so sorry for your loss and to everyone else too.

Part me feels people will be a bit Hmm as just an animal but they really get you to totally worship them don't they and become their slaves Grin.

I am Angry about 2 kids telling my sons she deserved to die. One is 7 and one 12, at different schools and both had to listen to that meanness. Kids who said it are also 7 and 12. Thankfully most people have been kind. One a doctor's receptionist and DS1's piano teacher and his Spanish teacher yesterday.

There's no such thing as "just a cat" and if anyone says that to you then you should punch them in the face so they know not to say it the next time. Pets are part of the family and they deserved to be grieved for as such.
