Friend just asked me to do something at her practice open day, to promote my new cattery but also as "something for cat people"
Face painting was mentioned but I have very swiftly veteoted that plan as have zero artistic talent smile
Was thinking maybe a quiz? Could print off quiz sheets (separate for adults and kids) and then have some big boards with pictures as part of the quiz (eg what breed of cat/cartoon character is in picture1). With prize of some sort for each category.
Would that amuse you or any better ideas welcome smile

I have no creative ability, I'm afraid - but what sort of age range is your friend asking you to do for ? Very young kids through to pretty old adults?

Presumably yes, it's a sort of family afternoon activity sort of thing, but there will be adults without children too.

I know the Cats' Protection collections where there is a cat puppet get more money.

Dress up as a cat and tell stories of the various cats that have stayed at your cattery and how nice it was, a special cat hotel.

Soft toy cats with a suitcase/backpack and a story about them round their neck - could sell them either for your self or for a charity.

lots of pics of cats obviously.

A sort of 'what you can expect at miggy's'

Our beds are or the finest plastic and lined with adorable hand made cat bedding.

Litter is of the odorless clumping variety.

We offer a selection of foods, from the well known brands to hand prepared fish and chicken for guests who require a more specialist diet.

If you prefer to be alone we will leave you alone, however if you prefer to be fussed our willing servants will cater to your every need.

That's a fine line to tread, sashh. I do like the 'telling stories of cats' etc but I think you have to be a little careful not to put anything which could be perceived as any sort of commercial slant because people can react badly to that. (CPL can get away with murder because they're a charity.)

Having said which, I'm still a creative desert here. I'll ask the youngsters and mull myself this morning.
