i have 2 cats one female 4 years old and one male 3 years old, both we rescued from kittens at the rspca. we have a problem with the male and if we cant get a handle on it we are going to have to get rid of him.
he is a very affectionate cat who doesnt go out much (unlike our independant female cat) he loves to spend his day on a lap or a sunny windowsill.
the problem we have is not a new one hes done it since he was a kitten. he sicks up after eating. its gross. he eats without chewing then goes somewhere high and projectile vomits everywhere. the clothes airer or a windowsill are his fav's as is the stairs. we have taken him to the vets and they have done tests -they say nothing medically wrong just some cats do it
he has done this for 3 years.
when he was 1yoa he was diagnosed with f.l.u.d which means he has to have medicated food.
we give him little and often food which is ok but he steals food and then is sick - sometimes hes even sick if he eats too quickly the small amount.
he frequently steals our other cats food - she is a grazer and happy to nibble and return later.
it feels like i have tried everything - i clean up his puke practically every day. its gettin worse as i now have 3month old and i forget to shut and lock kitchen at times (he can open it) hes been sick on the babies bed this morning and his drying clothes yesterday. any suggestions??
