diabetic cat -advice needed please!

So, 10 year old kitty is unwell, and treated by the vets with insulin, yesterday and today.
whether she needs insulin injections for the long term is still up in the air,but I think a change of diet wll help.
Does anyone have a diabetic cat,and if so, what low carbohydrate brands do you feed it.?
I understand that it should be less than 10%, but some "special"brands can be a lot more.
A bit of experienced advice would be appreciated. Thanks

IME the diabetic cats hate the diabetic diets in 15 years I' ve never had a cat eat one and don't bother now.
Again IME once diagnosed diabetic cats need insulin injections at various times-cats are special and can stop being diabetic for periods and then it kicks off again.
Using the VetPen makes administering the insulin a lot safer for you and is much much easier to use than vials and syringes.

Ive read that cats once stabilized may not need insulin, so im ok with that.

I guess its the best low carb cat food (also chapest) brands that im after.
I read purina (who make a lot of named foods)is a bit too high, so anything else?

I am of the it is more important that they eat than what they eat camp.
