the vets said just give them a little bit of boiled chicken or rice, when I picked them up at 5pm

one of them was a bit spaced out at the time, the other almost completely normal, & now the normal one is leaping up on banisters, kitchen counters etc as if nothing had happened. Other is still a bit vague but both are clearly starving - they shared a chicken breast earlier but are being very needy around their empty food bowls Grin

can I give them anything else tonight? chicken is all gone, I have no rice, I did boring scrambled egg earlier but they're not keen on that. Can they have a bit of dry food?

With full tummies they're more likely to curl up and sleep which will only help the healing process.

Cats are pretty smart when they're unwell and will just find somewhere quiet to rest and get better. If they think food is a good idea I say they're right. Feed them.

thank you Smile

I had some frozen tuna so I've poached a bit of that for them.

they are both still very peculiar in their own different ways though. dopy one looks doped (wide pupils) but is also now jumping on kitchen counter. & other one is just manic - I can't see either of them settling down any time soon. incisions are quite small & stitches are internal dissolving ones so fingers crossed everything stays put

do you reckon a few biscuits would be ok as well to see them through the night?
