The litter tray

We're getting a kitten!

I am stupidly excited about it. DD and I went to see the litter at the weekend. They are only 2 weeks old and are absolutely adorable. Have reserved a boy and he should be ready to come to us at the beginning of December. Now just need to come up with a name. We are liking Casper at the moment (cat is silver/grey and we're thinking along the lines of Casper the friendly ghost).

I just have one question. We usually get a real christmas tree. Would that be a bad idea with a kitten?

Casper sounds cute! As for the tree I'm sure little kitty's gonna love knocking the baubles off and rolling them around the floor Smile

We did without a Christmas tree the first year we had our cats - they were 6mo at Christmas, it just didn't seem worth the risk, especiallly with two of them and their tendency to chase each other about like maniacs. Last year (18mo) we put the old artificial tree up as we were going to be away for 10 days over Christmas so a real one seemed like a waste. There were a few mysterious incidents of baubles being found on the floor when they should have been on the tree, but no disasters. This year, we'll get a real one and see how things go.
