Cat leaving food in DH's Shoe?

I know this is going to sound completely bonkers, but our 8 year old female cat has left dry cat food in DH's shoe!

He went to put them on this morning (on the other side of the room to her bowls) and he found a small pile of dry biscuits in there .

Now....i didnt do it! And neither did DD as she can't physically do it, so why on earth would our cat do that?

I did google it but cant find any answers apart from she likes him.

Anyone got any ideas?
