Does anyone have one and are they worth it??
They look good but at £40 a bit pricey

I’ve got one and find it great but I mainly use it on horses feet / lower legs rather than the dog . There was a thread a few days ago and people were recommending the hozelock one as well . We’ve had ours a while and didn’t pay £40 .

I've been looking at these too. Cream Retriever who is a puddle lover and mud magnet. She's gets covered in mud at least once a day at the moment. Until this week she's been fine being hosed down in the back garden but this week it was just a bit too cold and she backed away.

I'm torn between the Mud Daddy (agree they're pretty pricy for what they are) or stumping up for a hot/cold outside tap. Has anyone got any opinions on those?

You could try the rather cheaper Boot Buddy?

I think they market one for dogs these days

We have one.
It's ok, but I don't find the pressure is really good enough to hose mud out properly. It's more of a slow trickle.
Plus for some reason the thread on our screw cap is a bit dodgy, so doesn't thread on properly and hisses the air out that you pump in.
We've got a hot outside tap now next to the cold tap and have a mixer shower on it.

Thanks all. @wetotter I'll take a look at the boot buddy one.

Dh is suggesting some Heath Robinson contraption 🙄. I can just see him ending up spending as much on his own invention!

We’ve had a Mud Daddy for a couple of weeks now, it’s brilliant and the pup loves it. I haven’t tried any of the alternatives though. We get it ready and leave it outside before a walk, a quick hose down then put his drying coat on.

I love mine. Fill it up before the walk with warm water and sluice him down when we get back. The brush attachment helps loosen the mud if it's had the chance to dry in a bit. Take it with us if we're doing a drive / walk (in non-lockdown times). I like the lavender fragrance pre-wash too.

I’ve got one and can bath the entire (medium size) dog with it. Agree it’s best for on the go - there are also hozelock pressure sprays for about £20 which people swear by. Add a bit of shampoo to the bottle and job done !

I have one. Its great I get two large dogs done with it after muddy walks. We have no pavements and the tractors churn mud up so they get really muddy.
