On the beach and 2 very cute, tiny, fluffy white dogs popped over to say hello. Didn’t get a chance to speak to their owners about the breed before they dashed off!

They were tiny - chihuahua sized, but with long, curly, fluffy v soft fur. They didn’t have the typical bulgy eyes of a chihuahua so I know it wasn’t that. Very white fur, no markings of any kind.

I don’t think they were terriers - never seen any that small before! Have been googling but no joy. Any ideas?

Might have been deer headed long hair chihuahuas?

I would also guess Pomeranians, quite popular now

I bet they were Maltese crosses.
Seem very popular round here

Bolognese, they’re one of the most popular dog breeds in France and are gaining in popularity here.

This is a Bolognese (same family as bichon frise). Is this close?

What is the difference between Bolognese and bichons?
As unclipped they must look exactly the same?

I don’t know, but I think bichons are slightly bigger? These dogs were tiddly little things, smaller than any Bichon I’ve ever seen.

@TeddyIsaHe it may have been a Maltese x Bichon - I've seen a few recently about
