Indestructible Toys

Hi. Can anyone recommend any indestructible toys for a persistent and heavy chewer. Our boy will chew anything and destroy it. We had a long koozie (supposedly stronger soft toy) 3 days and it was decimated. We were giving him dried beef / pigs ear chews which lasted a few hours but were working toward some aggression issues around those at the moment so he can’t have them.
All of his toys are chewed to bits and I’m worried he’s going to swallow bits etc. Can anyone recommend any really tough toys / chews (no food) that will withstand or at least survive longer than a week?

Our beagle has destroyed everything we've given him. The only thing that might be good would be the super-tough black kongs?

We stick to natural chews now but if he's having guarding issues they may not be good. We use yakkers chews, pizzles, braided lamb chews, antlers and cows hooves on top of pig/cow ears.

Anything in the ‘Kong’ range. I’ve had several of their toys and they have survived multiple dogs over the last decade or so - border collies, Rhodesian ridgebacks, Alsatian crosses and spaniels- the toys are still ok and have been passed on to a pair of labradors.
Expensive, but worth it. Read the product description and purchase the right size for your dog and enjoy.

Zogoflex west paws toys were the only things that survived when mine was at his most destructive stage. Even some kong toys didn't survive that phase. They are expensive and strange looking but he adored them and still does. Not a scratch on them and he is 4 this year and I suspect they will out survive him.

Chuckit ultra balls are pretty good as we have only lost a couple to teeth punctures and he plays and chews them all day.

The black bone shaped rubber kong you can put treats in the end of took my old dog an hour to destroy (bendier rubber) buy the classic beehive shape lasted.

Just checked out Zogoflex. Mine chewed one of their Hurley dog bones into lumps and ate some. My current dog is ridiculously gentle with toys and it still shocks me. My old boy destroyed everything with glee.

The size is important too. Sometimes a ball that will fit into their mouth easily will be trashed but one a size up is harder to kill.

Honestly no. But I will watch this thread in the hope someone recommends something that lasts. My dogs are so gentle with people, but they destroy any toys we give them. Some toys have been destroyed in less that 5 minutes and the longest anything lasts that they like is a few days. They do have some very hard nylabone chew bones which are ridiculously hard that have lasted but they’re not interested in them because they are solid. The slightly less hard ones last a couple of days. They’re only small dogs but seem to make it their mission to destroy all toys. I dread to think how much we have spent on toys for them.

Thanks all. We have a small kong (we just use when crate training / to keep occupied) which has survived his chewing to be fair so will look at other kongs and check out the recommendations.

The guarding issues with food were very frustrating, we had been very very good with the natural chews. Had many chews without incident and one day he turned nasty with one so no more until we can ensure he won’t turn into kujo!

I think from memory the zogoflex toys have a one time guarantee but never had to use it. The air wox is his favourite of them all but as I said a lot of them are 'strange looking' so don't do what I did and get them delivered to your DHs work. He got a lot of ribbing from his workmates when he opened the box

It is fun to scroll through the dog toys on Amazon or Fetch and play he killed that, killed that, ate bits of that, had 2 of those ... He also ate some fencing, several chair legs, many shoes ... He was fabulous.

Hahha @Glowcat were lucky he doesn’t chew much except his toys (although he has started to get a thing for my socks and crocs and feet in general so hiding all shoes away!!)

Second Kong. Also there is a range of these which are great. My Alsatian destroyed a rugby ball in seconds but this has kept him going with no damage throughout lockdown. Stands up to tugging too

My dog cannot have soft toys - he destroys them. He also bites chunks out of a lot of other stuff. As well as Kongs, a ball I got in wilko with a black cage which lights up has survived as well as a snake and a really hard plastic treat ball with a noise in it from B&M

Boomer balls are virtually indestructible. We started hiding our dogs toys and got him to 'go find', he actually enjoys this more than chewing them! I wrap a pigs ear up in loads of old towels so he has to work to get to it which he loves too. I find if he has to work to 'win' his toys hes less likely to destroy them and more likely to bring them back to me to start the game again.

This is brilliant, the squeaker doesn't last long but the ball lasts. My dogs favourite, and they lasted by far the longest of anything i got him.

The black Kongs, there's also a range called mighty tuff I think (sold in The Range) and the rope balls, other than that she destroys anything within about an hour!

These, cow bones I think? They are generally sold with that rubbish meaty filling which my dogs don't really care for. I scrape it out and stuff cheese/high value treats into them. Choose ones that have a narrow hole!

They're good got teeth cleaning too.
