Orthopaedic dog bed - recommendations please

My terrier, who's nearly 10, is sleeping more nowadays, due, I think, to his age and his joints. I've had to throw his old dog bed away as the base was too thin and had become lumpy, and am now looking for one with a memory foam base and nice, firm-ish sides for him to lay his head on.

Has anyone bought a good one recently? Far too many to choose from on Amazon and other sites, so any recommendations would be great! Am prepared to spend a bit more than I normally would.

Thanks in advance

You may find a pillow is more comfortable for him if he's a small terrier. My dog died age 21 last September, and he began to prefer lying on the wooden floor or rug with his head on his dog bed, (which was the big pillow chopped up memory foam kind). Sometimes too soft can be more painful for stiff joints than too hard. My dog was size of a border collie and about 23kg so not small. Hope you get something that suits him

I bought a memory foam off-cut from amazon and just cover it with blankets which I can take off and wash easily. I also put one of DCs waterproof mattress protectors on too. My dog is a golden retriever so his off cut is huge. It was £40 but your dog would only need a small piece.

Hope the link above works but this is the one I got for my dog. It's memory foam on the bottom and then cushions around the side. My dog rests his head on the cushions and it's his favourite place to sleep. I weeks highly recommend it.

Sorry I forgot to mention that pets4you have the type of beds you were describing as my neighbour has just bought one for her 14yr old daschund, and it seemed comfortable and not lumpy when I was in checking her dogs hips for her. He limps with arthritis and she's always afraid he's hurt himself, but at the moment only taking him to the vets if necessary, so I'm checking him for her as she knows she misses him getting worse, or better.

The pet fusion bed on Amazon get a lot of praise from members of Canine Arthritis Management FB groups. There's a product reviews group so may find some alternatives on there.www.facebook.com/groups/540364159637089/
My dog prefers the sofa & my own orthopedic bed Hmm

The Dogs Bed from Amazon - great quality, completely waterproof and washable and lovely bolstered sides for snoozing. Some dogs don’t like them - too hard - so if that doesn’t work, Wolfybeds are the best soft ones I’ve found.
