Sadly after weeks of pushing her luck with dcat, dpuppy had her first paw swipe last night...
Shocked doesn't cover it!!
She had poor dcat pinned into the corner with her paw on him so she could 'wash' him. One swipe with claws and she jumped back - she was rubbing her own face with her paw! Came and sat with me all confused!! Usually dcat has an escape route but had snuck in while we had tea...
Eventually they made up...
So much yet to discover and learn. Extra hard with CV and no socialising...

Not quite a pup anymore as he is 3 but he was barking incessantly in the garden so I went to check what was up, he was face to face with a magpie baby who was obviously learning to fly! It was totally in his range but obviously too scary to eat Smile it was gone in the morning so all good

I'm dreading the thunder. He is Avery confident puppy and not scared of much but noise is definitely what gets him anxious. He sleeps alone downstairs, happily, so I hope we would hear it (wear earplugs). Can't bear the idea he'd be scared alone wondering what the heck is going on.

We had a little rumble of thunder earlier, and DPuppy was unfazed

She was easily reassured during some unexpected Thursday NHS fireworks (so fingers crossed she’ll cope when we get the bigger detonations later in the year)

The thing I loved watching most was when she first saw a bumblebee. The look of baffled concentration was marvellous

Dcat has been very sociable today - and dpuppy very well mannered. Lesson learned it seems.
We lost dcat's db recently and he is becoming more of a house dcat than he has ever been. Previously lived on a farm and was happiest outside.

Hot food. A roast potato fell out of the baking tray-he was hilarious, he just couldn’t figure it out. You could see his brain was in over drive-it’s hurts but it’s tasty, I want it but I don’t! He was play bowing to it, pawing it, barking at it. Eventually he gave up and lay down next to it with his nose as close as he could get without it burning him. I put him out of his misery, blew on it and gave it to him-took some reassurance before he realised it was ok to now eat.

Dpuppy has a liking for moths and beetles.
Yuck.
