Dog keeps tripping

My dog is 11. She struggles to jump up on the sofa, if she jumps off the sofa she sometimes lands on her face. She sometimes trips and face plants while walking. She no longer attempts to go up and down stairs, she just whines to be carried. Is this just normal old age or something that needs treatment? I’ve had older dogs who haven’t behaved like this.

Please speak to your vet. If she’s whining to be carried because of painful joints and her front legs are giving way so she lands on her face then she needs assessing for the best treatment so she can live a pain free life.

Please take her to the vet, she is telling you she is in pain and you’re ignoring her!
