She wants out for a poo regurlary at 3 am. She was fine at sleeping through the night for a good few weeks before this started about a month ago.

She's fed breakfast at about 9.30 (not always hungry for it), lunch about 1 and dinner about 6pm.

She tends to go to sleep about 7 or 8 for the evening and we wake her When we go back to work we'll be feeding her at 8 am and about 6pm/ I wonder if we should go to that now.

The 3am is just really really making me tired.

I would first rule out something disturbing her at 3am. Sleep supresses bowel movement but if she is being woken by something that would 'reactivate' it. A camera set up for a couple of nights would help figure that out, maybe. You'd be able to see/hear what disturbs her or would be able to see she is waking up in repsonse to something.

If not, I would be tempted to bring her evening meal forward a bit to see if that helps.

Failing that, I would suspect it's just a habit she has gotten into and would try to sneak it back a little bit each night to a more decent time Smile

I would also be on the sharp lookout for any other signs of medical problems and go to the vet if I saw anything that concerned me.

Bring dinner forward and cut out lunch. She doesn't really need to be on three meals a day anymore Smile

You may find she's hungry for breakfast when she's no longer on three meals too.

Ddawg needs to have any bones early in the day to allow appropriate time for it to go through her. If she gets something in the afternoon, we get accidents at night.

Make lunch her main meal with the bulk of her protein and then make dinner lighter ...more carbs and veg than protein

Also lots of fluids in the morning as that keeps the bowels moving
