Vets or not vets?

I though Doggo just has a bit of a shaggy bit in her fur from lying on paint or mud or other sticky items (she’s a nose into everything sort of dog, usually rolling around in the mud).

Anyway, I can now see that is actually a small cut. I have cut away the surrounding fur and cleaned around it a bit. It is about 5mm in size.
Normally I would just pop into the vets and ask the receptionist if they thought it needed looking at by the vet, but that is obviously a little harder at the moment, so hoping for opinions here.

If it changes at all, or if she seems to be bothered by it I will take her straight in, but opinions welcome first.

If it's not infected, I'd wait and see. If you're bothered, ring your vet and ask if you can send the photo in.

If it isn't bothering her at all then if you can I would pick up some Leucillin to spray on it just to make sure it doesn't get infected. Then just keep an eye on it, if it doesn't seem to be getting any better could always give the vet a wee phone and ask if you can send a picture over, think most vets are asking for pictures to be sent first now anyway x

Just treat it as you would a cut on your own skin - would you see GP?

Bathe in warm salt water and keep clean

Thanks for all the advice. Was having a moment of indecisive worry.
All looks to be scabbed over and healing as normal. No redness, swelling or weeping, so all is fine I think.

Good news! Just keep an eye on it OP - you can always get it checked if there are further problems

I agree with the above, my dog's little cuts seem to take forever to disappear, the scabbing just stays forever! just keep checking it
