Not sure what I'm aiming to achieve with this post, just quite upset and would like to hear if others' pups have been in this situation.

I have a 1 year old large breed dog. 2 days ago he developed a cough but was fine in himself so we just kept an eye on him. Last night he became quite lethargic and this morning he has been throwing up small amounts of yellow liquid and his breathing became shallow/sounded wheezy. I called the vets and I took him in straight away. The vet came out to say she suspects he has pneumonia. She didn't say much else except that they will start him on fluids ASAP and he will need to stay in 24-48 hours. I'm really missing him already and so worried Sad

@Floralnomad thank you. Yes they are planning on x-raying his chest today, he's currently on a drip and they said his breathing is improving, so fingers crossed!

@Floralnomad he's home! The vet originally said he would be in for 48+ hours but we had a call this morning to say he's really improved, and as long as we keep him on his antibiotics, they're happy for him to come home Grin he's currently passed out on the floor napping Smile
