I've seen these recommended on here but which one is best? Or an alternative if you have a preferred brand/type. It is basically a brush I think? It's for a lab. Many thanks.

We have the orange handle one , it's a comb or seems to be a comb rather than a brush, but brilliant at getting the fluff layer off ?
Our dog is a retriever cross .

Hi, I'm a dog groomer and we use these, however for a lab I would highly recommend a 'zoom groom' - they are brilliant for short haired dogs, they get so much hair out! And I've always found that dogs prefer these to a furminator as with the zoom groom it feels like they're getting a right good scratch, even my own personal dogs love it. It's basically just a rubber brush that you rub over the dog quickly as if you were giving the dog a scratch.

I've recommended them to so many customers and the majority of them prefer these to the furminator for de-shedding.

However, if you would like to try a furminator the one you want is the one that is labelled "undercoat de shedding tool for short haired dog" the one I have has a green handle! X

I have beagles, so I think a similar coat, and the zoom groom is brilliant.

Thank you all, I hugely appreciate this. I like the idea of the brush zoom groom type option, but I'm going to look all the suggestions up now.
