Hi y’all just asking for some advice because I am desperate!! I recently got a new puppy about 1 week ago and I took him to his vet appointment this past Monday and it is now Friday he got his checkup and first round of shots. Idk if it can be from the vet visit but my puppy isn’t wanting to eat. I’ve tried just about anything from trying a new foods do trying a pumpkin enzyme, wet food, milk replaced powder over his food(owner before me was doing it), soften it with warm water, to pouring a spoon full of low sodium chicken broth over his food but he is still himself playful gets excited so i’m just at a list of why he isn’t eating and i’m just scared and a wreck that i’ll lose him.

Ah he’ll get hungry soon. Keep trying with the yummy smelly foods (sausages, chicken etc).

Sometimes vet visit can put them out of sorts and vaccinations can make them feel a little poorly. As long as he is still lively then I wouldn’t worry too much.

Maybe try offering the food in different ways, so try metal and plastic bowls, just putting it on the floor. Sit with him, or try leaving the room altogether.

The important thing is if he is drinking. Dehydration can be serious so make sure he is drinking every day.

Yes he was, so i’m just confused as to why he isn’t wanting to eat anymore.

Has he been dewormed?
What food are you usually feeding him?
When did he have his jabs?
When did he last eat?

Where is he from? 7 weeks is very young to rehome!
Don't keep chopping and changing food - it's more likely you'll upset his stomach
He'll also be tiny so just needs a very small amount of food 4-5x daily

He is in the process just had his first deworming, from my friends mom and they were feeding him royal canin so i stuck w that but he wasn’t eating so i tried the baby blue puppy food. Got his shots monday afternoon, and i feed him a syringe of his food this morning, but other than that it was yesterday around 5pm. He is barely eating once a day.

So he had jabs on Monday and ate 5pm yesterday? So he has been eating just not as much?
It's much more likely to be worms/the chopping and changing of food upsetting his stomach. He's very little still and shouldn't really be away from his mother until at least 8-9 weeks of age so he's had a very stressful week or two.

Was the mother dewormed through pregnancy?

If he's bright and active he has energy, just keep offering him the royal canin.

Cheese? If all else fails try cheese (added to his Royal Canin which tbh is not a good dog food at all..there are far better out there but if it;s what he's used to stick with it for now)
He's tiny... really tiny and barely old enough to have left mum. Make sure his life is calm and boring for now. Try hand feeding him tiny bits, or scattering it for him to find. Pretend to eat it yourself!
Also... kibble is boring and some dogs, including mine are reluctant to eat it. While tuummy wise it's probably safer to keep him on what he's used to, I'd offer something nice... cooked chicken is gentle, to see if it's a kibble issue or a more worrying lack of appetite.
