Dog not wanting to walk

We have a border collie x king Charlies (we think based on what he looks like).

We think he will be 9 in July (the pound said he was 3 when we got him).

Anyway, he has always been eager to walk and over the last few weeks we really have to drag him out of the house. There wasn't an incident or anything. Is he just getting old? Is it old mixed with cold? It is out of character. There are no feeding issues or anything

Any out of character behaviours should prompt a vet visit first and foremost. Rule out pain and illness, then you can consider other stuff
