Hi all, we collected our new pup yesterday and he has fleas! He's 8 weeks old and we were assured that he had been treated. What can I use that's gentle but will stop a full infestation?! Help please!!

Go to the vet, get him checked over and get a flea and also worming treatment

Definately get him to a vet asap.

If he has fleas then I would start to question the environment he was bred in and his general health, tbh.

As all new puppies should get a vet check within their first few days at home, having to go for flea treatment can be done at the same time.

We have a vets appointment booked but they can't get him in until Monday, I should have said that in the op! Anything I can do in the meantime?

Think advantage can be used on puppies

Yes push as he’s so little and has fleas! Certainly not something you want to leave or welcome into your house.
At least they can give you advice over the phone

Alternatively speak to the breeder
I would definitely be worried about where he’s come from, do you think in hindsight it may have been a puppy farm?

if they’re reputable and it’s an unfortunate accident, they’ll be mortified and probably offer to sort it for you.

I’d find a different vet that can see him immediately , and if he’s been in your house it will need treating with indorex .

Agree with Floral. Find a different vet.

Where did you get him from? He shouldn't have fleas.

Obviously you couldn’t trust her. Get pup insured ASAP OP.
